Description
Acrylic Solid Surfaces
With its breakthrough stain-, impact-, and heat-resistance properties – 100% acrylic solid surfaces, such as Hanex, are ideal for both commercial and residential applications. They are easy to care for, too. The surface is non-porous and NSF Certified. With periodic maintenance – just a quick wipe down with a damp cloth – The surface maintains its original beauty for years. Most importantly, it can be repaired and restored to its original condition, unlike other surfacing materials.
Hanex Solid Surfaces is the ideal material for commercial applications because of its beauty, durability, aesthetics, design flexibility, and color choices. The surfaces are crafted from a unique blend of acrylic resins and natural materials, allowing the material to be cut, shaped and formed to fit a range of designs. Best of all, unlike other surfacing materials, Hanex Solid Surfaces can be used in many applications where sanitation is of utmost importance, such as retail kitchens, hospitals, laboratories, playrooms, schools, public restrooms and workspaces – just to name a few. Hanex Solid Surfaces can be fabricated and installed in almost any application with invisible seams, making this product truly “solid” in surfacing material. Hanex Solid Surfaces further reveals its flexibility and usability on integrated sinks and backsplashes by combining beauty, design, and practicality.
Throughout the years, solid surfaces have established themselves as an attractive, cost-effective, and easily installable product, and no one has done this better than Hanex Solid Surfaces.
Hanex Manufacturing Process
Our exclusive manufacturing process uses high-tech equipment and materials, so Hanex Solid Surfaces next-generation surfaces are meticulously crafted to withstand even the most rigorous treatment. Hanex Solid Surfaces is made from hardening natural minerals with acrylic resin and compressing them into sheets. Since commercial production in 1995, improved manufacturing and process development has been pursued.
In 1998, Hyundai | Surfaces was the first company in the world to successfully apply the Double Belt Casting Unit (the DBCU process) to commercial production. Thanks to the successful expansion of production facilities and continuous product quality enhancement, Hyundai | Surfaces has taken the leading position in the acrylic solid surface market.
Quality Assurance
At Hyundai Surfaces, our team follows rigorous quality assurance procedures throughout the entire research, development, and manufacturing process. Our process begins with a rigorous inspection of all incoming raw materials – color, grade, and composition.
The result – the delivery of an unequaled quality product consistent in color, texture, and size.
Process & Technology
Hanex Solid Surfaces is composed of Methyl Methacrylate (MMA) and Poly Methyl Methacrylate (PMMA) resin filled with Alumina Trihydrate and other specialized formula to give it the timeless beauty and quality. Hyundai Surfaces is one of few companies to have successfully developed the DBCU process to produce superior products.
